Hey All,

Just a note about changes to the blog.

I am sure you noticed that along with the new banner I switched from two columns to three, and that there is now an add for Prograde Nutrition over there on the left.

Over the course of the past two years many of my friends, colleagues and teachers have commented on the transformation I have gone through physically. Along the way I have found a few professionals out there whose ideas, writings, and products have helped me make that change.

One of the cool things about moving into the fitness field is that I can now share those ideas with you. Sometimes as a member of an affiliate program as is the case with Prograde Nutrition.

Whats Happening
In the very near future you will see a page with all those links in one place. That page will have listed the trainers, sites, and blogs that I have found helpful. Some I will be “proud partners” with (a fancy way of making sure my readers know that I have made a financial partnership), and some will be just a link to an interesting blog or forum.

You will also see some adds on the left hand side of the blog for the companies I am teaming up with to get the word out on quality products. By clicking on those banners you will also be helping me make my rent.

I will only be teaming up with people whose products and services I have used and am happy with.

When possible I will be keeping a small amount of stock on hand so that if you are a student, client or co-worker you can pick up some product from me directly.

Prograde Nutrition
Today I would like to tell you that I am a proud Prograde partner. I have been using Prograde products for over two years and have been very happy with the products, the results I get, their customer service, and their educational approach towards promotions.

A few things stick out for me with this company:

• The company is headed up by Registered Dietitians and Fitness professionals.
• They are a GMP Rated facility.

• At the end of each article written the author of the post gives footnote references that leads to the studies they got their information from. You can actually go read the studies yourself and make up your own mind. (This is the first time I’ve seen this from a nutrition company.)

• Prograde provides products sweetened with Stevia, which helped me kick the sugar addiction

Prograde take a very educational approach in their advertising, so from time to time you will see on this site articles re-posted from the Prograde archive. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.

Pardon My Construction

Hey all,

It has been a long time since I have payed any attention to this blog.  Time to change that.

To begin I think a facelift is in order.  I am sure you will notice the new layout, and the new header.  I hope you like it, is a blend of my new logo and my old website banner.

I am still active and roping when I can.  This past year has seen Reverse Tensionz’s erotic rope focus group continue to grow, I was able to attend Shibaricon, I am currently planning a pool party, had the chance to teach some private lessons,  and I was even invited to join Midori’s Rope Dojo as a member of her Cadre.

I can’t even begin to tell you how awesome it was to get to be a teacher’s assistant for Midori and DeLano!

That’s livin’ the dream baby!!  I was out in San Francisco for both the Jan, and June Dojos and met so many great people.  And finally I am no longer the only Grad from Las Vegas! /wewt!

I am also studying to receive certification as an ISSA Fitness Trainer, and have started a personal training business.

More on that later!  In the mean time I have become a “financial partner” with Prograde Nutrition, which is just a fancy way of saying if you click on the banner over on the left and order some product I will get a small commission on the sale.

I have been using their products for a little over two years now,  I think it is great stuff that you may like as well.  Be sure to check them out.

1. Boss Bondage Classes This Weekend
Boss will be in town this weekend to teach two classes for us:

Piercing Like a Pro
Date: Saturday, June 26th, 2010
Time: 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm

This class is limited to 24 participants.

About This Class
This is a class on temporary piercing that is heavily influenced by the techniques of permanent body piercing.  Boss is a licensed body piercer who has been piercing since 1995, and will be teaching play piercing from the point of view of a body piercer.  This class will guide You through the traditional elements of play piercing. Including some of the different techniques and and materials commonly used.  Boss will also cover some of the instruments, needles and materials used in permanent piercing that can be used for temporary piercing. Together we will go over cleanliness and sterilization, as well as how to set up and break down a station.

This will be a hands on class and You will have an opportunity to put your newly learned skills to use. We will talk about how to combat blood borne pathogens, and how to adapt a routine of cleanliness that you can carry into all your piercing play.

Boss’s company playpiercingkits.com is donating all the supplies you need for this class.

Rope Torture – The way of the Sadist
Date: Sunday June 27th, 2010

About This Class
For hundreds of years the world has given us stories and images of capture and torture with rope bondage. We in the BDSM lifestyle often play around with these images, these stories and these ties, and use them in our erotic life. But do we hold true to the original intent of rope bondage, or do we dance around it?

We see many images of erotic bondage today, but have we lost the connection to the torture of rope bondage that holds that dangerous appeal that attracted us to it to begin with

This class explores the theory of rope bondage as a scene unto itself, using rope in the way it has been intended for hundreds of years, as rough capture and restraint as well as a use for the application of pain to the body.

We will discuss, demonstrate and practice using rope to create Pain to purify the body and the mind, creating catharsis. Please bring some hemp/jute rope in 4mm-6mm diameter for the hands on portion. Rope will be for sale at the class.

2.  About Boss Bondage
BossBondage has been involved in the BDSM community for over a decade. He is the founder and president of The West Coast Assholes, an edge players advocacy group that focuses on edge-ucation within the community.

He also serves as the vice president of the Portland leather Alliance. Boss recently received mainstream attention, working as the bondage consultant on the music video for def jam recording artists Electrik Red.

For almost 4 Years Boss has operated His own professional dungeon The Asylum. Born from his love of hemp bondage rope, He started BossBondage.com in 2004, where He produces his own line of Hemp Bondage rope.

Boss has been a body piercer since 1995 and currently operates PlayPiercingKits.com which sells play piercing kits and medical kink accessories. Boss does not get too tied down to titles and just considers Himself to be bondage artist.

In the last several years, through intensive performance of bondage, in particular suspensions, He has developed a unique style. He is self taught .

Reverse Tensionz is proud to announce the Summer Edition of the Las Vegas Rope Social. Come on out and spend an afternoon enjoying good food, great friends, and of course, Erotic Rope Bondage.

This Social is a relaxed peer to peer educational event where people share their knowledge, meet new people, reconnect with old friends, and possibly rub shoulders with some well known names from the rope educational circuit.

Special Guest: Boss Bondage
Boss Bondage will be in town teaching two classes and hanging at the Social to meet fans and sell some of his products

Everyone Is Welcome
Interested in learning something new?
This is a great chance to learn “that cool thing you did at the party” from your peers in a safe and low key and semi-private setting.

We want to welcome you to our local rope family, everyone is welcome no matter what kind of rope play you are into.

Eastern Style, Western Style, Natural Fibre or MFP, slow and sensual or fast take down, it is all good to us.

The Pot Luck
This event is also a potluck so feel free to bring your favorite dish or desert to share with the group. We will have power available for those who need to plug in a crok-pot or warmer.

United Breaks Guitars

Jason, my department head at work emailed this story to me last night.  God I love it when the little guy wins….

A musician named Dave Carroll recently had difficulty with United Airlines. United apparently damaged his treasured Taylor guitar ($3500) during a flight. Dave spent over 9 months trying to get United to pay for damages caused by baggage handlers to his custom Taylor guitar. During his final exchange with the United Customer Relations Manager, he stated that he was left with no choice other than to create a music video for youtube exposing their lack of cooperation. The Manager responded: “Good luck with that one, pal”.

So he posted a retaliatory video on youtube. The video has since received nearly 6 million hits. United Airlines contacted the musician and attempted settlement in exchange for pulling the video. Naturally his response was: “Good luck with that one, pal”.

Taylor Guitars sent the musician 2 new custom guitars in appreciation for the product recognition from the video that has led to a sharp increase in orders.

WoW: All Faction Raid For The Cure

All Faction Benefit Walk Across Azeroth

One of the reasons that World of Warcraft is such an awesome game is because of the community that has grown up around it.

John Patricelli, otherwise know as the Big Bear Butt Blogger has just recently found out that a guildie will be undergoing treatments for breast cancer.  As a show of support he and some other members of WoW are organizing an in-game march from Darnassus or Camp Narache to Booty Bay via Ratchet and the Crossroads (all cities in the game).

There has also been a World of Warcraft Raid for the Cure donation website, a website created by John and his guildies but administered and maintained by Susan G. Komen for the Cure.  Donations are encouraged, and those that donate can participate in the raffle.

I wanted to help get the word out to all my friends that play the game so I am re-posting the information here.
