Hey All,

Just a note about changes to the blog.

I am sure you noticed that along with the new banner I switched from two columns to three, and that there is now an add for Prograde Nutrition over there on the left.

Over the course of the past two years many of my friends, colleagues and teachers have commented on the transformation I have gone through physically. Along the way I have found a few professionals out there whose ideas, writings, and products have helped me make that change.

One of the cool things about moving into the fitness field is that I can now share those ideas with you. Sometimes as a member of an affiliate program as is the case with Prograde Nutrition.

Whats Happening
In the very near future you will see a page with all those links in one place. That page will have listed the trainers, sites, and blogs that I have found helpful. Some I will be “proud partners” with (a fancy way of making sure my readers know that I have made a financial partnership), and some will be just a link to an interesting blog or forum.

You will also see some adds on the left hand side of the blog for the companies I am teaming up with to get the word out on quality products. By clicking on those banners you will also be helping me make my rent.

I will only be teaming up with people whose products and services I have used and am happy with.

When possible I will be keeping a small amount of stock on hand so that if you are a student, client or co-worker you can pick up some product from me directly.

Prograde Nutrition
Today I would like to tell you that I am a proud Prograde partner. I have been using Prograde products for over two years and have been very happy with the products, the results I get, their customer service, and their educational approach towards promotions.

A few things stick out for me with this company:

• The company is headed up by Registered Dietitians and Fitness professionals.
• They are a GMP Rated facility.
• They are recommend by many of the top pro-trainers
• High quality products shipped to my door at the same cost or lower than what you get from a local health store.
• At the end of each article written the author of the post gives footnote references that leads to the studies they got their information from. You can actually go read the studies yourself and make up your own mind. (This is the first time I’ve seen this from a nutrition company.)

• Prograde provides products sweetened with Stevia, which helped me kick the sugar addiction
• Excellent Customer Service

Prograde take a very educational approach in their advertising, so from time to time you will see on this site articles re-posted from the Prograde archive. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.

It has been a long time since I have payed any attention to this blog.  Time to change that.

To begin I think a facelift is in order.  I am sure you will notice the new layout, and the new header.  I hope you like it, is a blend of my new logo and my old website banner.

I am still active and roping when I can.  This past year has seen Reverse Tensionz’s erotic rope focus group continue to grow, I was able to attend Shibaricon, I am currently planning a pool party, had the chance to teach some private lessons,  and I was even invited to join Midori’s Rope Dojo as a member of her Cadre.

I can’t even begin to tell you how awesome it was to get to be a teacher’s assistant for Midori and DeLano!

That’s livin’ the dream baby!!  I was out in San Francisco for both the Jan, and June Dojos and met so many great people.  And finally I am no longer the only Grad from Las Vegas! /wewt!

I am also studying to receive certification as an ISSA Fitness Trainer, and have started a personal training business.

More on that later!  In the mean time I have become a “financial partner” with Prograde Nutrition, which is just a fancy way of saying if you click on the banner over on the left and order some product I will get a small commission on the sale.

I have been using their products for a little over two years now,  I think it is great stuff that you may like as well.  Be sure to check them out.

Another month has come and gone, and we are staring the 2010 Holiday Season square in the face. Can you believe it?

I want to thank everyone that came to the focus group yesterday!  We had many familiar faces, and lots of new ones as well.

I saw, and participated in several flavors of rope bondage, chatted with friends and had cookies.  Hurray for cookies!

And with your amazing generosity we raised just over $180 to donate to the Erotic Heritage Museum this time around.

Holy Crap!  You guys totally rock the house!!!!

As a Top I find that I gain insight each time I re-read it, I also have novice bottoms read the article as well as it can help them identify their own interests. Of course the main goal is to better communicate with each other in hopes of enjoying mind blowing scenes.

The article is pretty much as written, I have re-formatted the text to better fit a blog entry.

A Top’s Guide to Bondage Bottoms

1- Introduction

• Why do people want to be tied up?
• How do their preferences for bondage differ?
• How do you recognize and accommodate their needs?
• Why do bondage scenes sometimes “go wrong” and not work out?
• How do you match up bondage partners?

These are some of the questions answered in this article. There are many resources with advice on basic bondage techniques, safety, knots, etc. There are also some good books devoting a few pages to the psychology of the scene.

I haven’t seen much practical information, however, that acknowledges the many different kinds of bondage players, how to recognize them and how to best meet their unique needs.

While common sense and communication may work with experienced players, what about when one or more are new to the scene? What questions should be asked?

In my experience, there are several different “types” of players. The very best scenes happen when everyone involved is well matched or at least understand each other’s needs.

Saturday Night:
Party at the EHM. Reverse Tensionz will have our interactive living display areas set up. Members are welcome to bring a little rope and try their hand at creating a little Shibari-Art. Keep in mind that there will be lots of Vanillas about to we are keeping it towards the artistic and light play side of things. Hope to see you there.

Sunday Early Afternoon:
Intermediate Rope Bondage Class at the Las Vegas Power Exchange.
Click the link for full details. Class is $15 and we will be looking at practical applications and confidence building.

We will be drilling our skills in a set up that is friendly to the less experienced among us, and will let our advanced nawashis test their artistic and practical skills. Everyone can gain from this class.

I am sensing a lot of rolling around and having fun, don’t miss out!!

For class you will want to bring enough rope to do a chest harness, a hip harness, and four column ties.

I suggest as a minimum:
3 ropes 25′ – 35′ in length for the harnesses
4 ropes 12′ – 15′ in length for the column ties.

You can never have too much rope!

Also you will want to bring something to act as a blindfold. Scarves, blindfolds, flat braid ropes, etc etc.

I will have a few scarves available as well as extra rope if you need it.

Sunday Late Afternoon
Fall Edition of the Las Vegas Rope Social & Potluck Dinner

We are trying a couple of new things with this Rope Social. First it is being held at the Power Exchange which means we can be just as naughty as we want to be!
Bring your favorite fetish/bdsm gear and find us in the downstairs dungeon areas.

Lets shake up the Power Exchange like only we can do and give them some love for being so kind to the kinky and bdsm loving people in Las Vegas.

Also new this time around, as a way to encourage people to bring a dish we are offering a $5 dollar discount to anyone with a dish. That brings the cost of the Social to $15, and if you bring food to share $10.

Note: if you come to the class before you can stay for the Social at no charge. Also coming to either or both of these events entitles you to spend the evening at the Power Exchange once the club opens.

In September the Erotic Heritage Museum will be holding their 2nd anniversary party.   Reverse Tensionz will be doing  our usual live Shibari-Art display and I am starting to put together our list of models for the event.

I will be needing a few people to be stunt bunnies for the display.  Duties include hanging out and being friendly while also being available to be a canvas for some light rope bondage, and also modeling rope fashions around the museum.

In return I will get you on the guest list for the party.  The party is scheduled to be on Saturday September 11th and will run from 8 pm to 1 am.

This is a reminder that the next Rope Focus Group will be Sunday Aug 8th at the Erotic Heritage Museum.  Feel free to use this thread to look for a play partner and give us positive feedback.

Look for the group inside the museum proper in the area where we hold the demonstrations for the EHM parties.

Ministries are set to begin at 4 p.m. doors open at 3:45.
